Reminders

Birthdays, follow-ups, and overdue nudges, designed to be trustworthy, not naggy.

PersonalCRM sends three kinds of reminders. The design principle behind all of them: a reminder tool you mute is worse than no tool, so everything is grouped, throttled, and quiet by default.

The three reminder types

🎂 Birthdays

A heads-up three days before (time to get a gift or plan a call) and a reminder on the day. Multiple birthdays on the same day are grouped into one notification.

✓ Follow-ups

Each follow-up reminds you on its due date. On iOS, single follow-ups can be completed straight from the notification.

🔴 Overdue contacts

When people drift past their cadence, you get a nudge, at most once a week, no matter how many people are overdue. A daily list of the same names is how notifications get switched off for good; once a week keeps the signal meaningful.

Where reminders arrive

  • iOS push, with actionable buttons: Log ping on birthday reminders, Mark done on follow-ups, both without opening the app. See the iOS app.
  • Web inbox: the bell in the sidebar collects everything. The web app never asks for browser notification permission. No "personalcrm.me wants to send notifications" popup, ever.

Settings

Settings → Notifications lets you toggle each type independently and choose your preferred hour. Reminders arrive at that local hour in your timezone (DST handled correctly; your timezone syncs automatically).

Trust details

Reminders are decided at send time from your live data, never pre-scheduled on the device. Change a birthday, complete a follow-up, or ping someone, and the reminder behavior updates instantly. Deleted data never haunts you.
