Dex or PersonalCRM: start with your weekly routine

Both Dex and PersonalCRM offer notes and reminders to help you keep in touch. Dex also connects to communication tools and updates LinkedIn details. PersonalCRM centers the workflow on choosing a contact frequency, seeing who is due, and recording the conversation. A contact can belong to several networks, so a former colleague can also be part of your local community.

What you record after a conversation

In PersonalCRM, a quick check-in records that you spoke. A longer note preserves the context: what the person is working on, a shared idea, or a promise to introduce someone. Notes can include several people. A dated reminder captures a specific next step, while the relationship cadence handles the ongoing habit. This separation keeps your contact list useful without requiring a detailed report after every message.

Connect an assistant to your contact history

Both products support connecting AI assistants. Dex publishes a hosted MCP integration and lists API access in its Professional plan. PersonalCRM includes its REST API and MCP server in the Free plan. Decide which records and actions your assistant actually needs, check the relevant plan, and review permissions before connecting either product.

Pricing: what you actually pay for

Dex advertises a 7-day trial requiring a credit card. Premium and Professional have monthly, quarterly, and annual billing options. Compare the selected billing period on Dex’s pricing page before subscribing. PersonalCRM is free for 100 contacts on the web. Pro costs $4.99/month, $49.99/year, or $99.99 once for lifetime access. The API and MCP server are included in Free.

Prices quoted in USD. Billing periods, taxes, offers, and plan limits can change. Check the linked official pricing pages before subscribing. View PersonalCRM plans for our current plan details.

Moving your contacts to PersonalCRM

If your Dex account provides a contact export, download it and inspect the columns before importing. PersonalCRM accepts CSV, XLSX, and vCard, with a preview and duplicate checks. Test a small sample first. LinkedIn synchronization settings, reminders, and interaction histories should not be assumed to transfer with a contact file.
